American Gladiators – NES Game

American Gladiators for the NES adapts the television competition series into a set of physical challenge events. You choose a contender and take on the show’s obstacle-based games, which are recreated as short, self-contained action stages built around climbing, dodging, aiming and timing. Between events you face the Gladiators themselves, who try to knock you down or block your progress before you can finish. Scores from each event carry forward, and the run finishes with the Eliminator-style obstacle course. Controls are simple, with the difficulty coming from precise jumps and reactions rather than complex inputs. Two players can compete against one another as well as against the Gladiators. It is a licensed sports and action title tied closely to the format of the TV show.
