Bad Dudes – NES Game

Bad Dudes is a side-scrolling beat ’em up for the Nintendo Entertainment System, converted from the arcade game. The premise is set up in the opening text: ninjas have kidnapped the President, and you are asked whether you are a bad enough dude to rescue him. You fight left to right through urban stages including city streets, a truck, a sewer, and a train, punching and kicking waves of ninjas and other enemies, with occasional weapon pickups and a boss at the end of each stage. Movement includes shifting between two planes of depth in some areas, and a second player can join in for cooperative play. Controls are simple, with attacks, jumps, and jump kicks forming the core of the combat.
