Baseball Stars 2 – NES Game

Baseball Stars 2 is a baseball game for the NES and a follow-up to Baseball Stars. It keeps the series’ arcade-leaning approach to the sport, with pitching and batting handled from a view behind the action and manual control of fielders once the ball is put in play. You select from a set of fictional teams whose players differ in hitting power, speed and pitching ability, then play out games in exhibition or longer competitive formats. Presentation is bright and cartoon-styled, with large sprites and animated reactions rather than a realistic simulation look. Two players can compete against each other on the same console. Games move at a brisk pace, favouring quick reactions at the plate over deep statistical management.
