Baseball Stars – NES Game

Baseball Stars is a baseball game for the NES built around team management as well as play on the field. Alongside preset teams, you can create your own club, name it and its players, and then spend money earned from wins to improve individual player attributes or sign new talent. League play tracks your record across a season, with progress kept through the cartridge’s save feature. On the field, action uses an angled view for pitching and batting, then follows the ball out to the fielders once it is hit. Pitchers tire over the course of a game, so substitutions matter. The roster includes a mix of unusual fictional teams with widely varying skill levels, and two players can compete head-to-head.
