Bart Simpson’s Escape from Camp Deadly – Gameboy Game

Bart Simpson’s Escape from Camp Deadly is a side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy starring Bart from The Simpsons. Sent off to a summer camp run by unpleasant counselors, Bart sets out to escape, moving through outdoor and indoor areas while jumping across platforms and avoiding hazards. He defends himself with thrown objects, and other Simpsons family members turn up along the way. Levels are built around navigating each area to reach the exit, with enemies and obstacles placed to interrupt your route, and boss encounters ending sections. The presentation uses the Game Boy’s monochrome screen for cartoon-styled sprites and camp-themed backdrops. Controls are simple, with running, jumping and throwing forming the whole of Bart’s move set across the adventure.
