Championship Bowling – NES Game

Championship Bowling is a bowling game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Play centres on a single lane viewed from behind the bowler: you position your bowler, set the direction of the throw, choose how much power to put behind the ball and add spin or hook before releasing, then watch the pins fall and bowl again at whatever remains. Scoring follows standard ten-pin rules across ten frames, with strikes, spares and bonus balls in the final frame. Several players can take turns in sequence, and there is single-player play against the computer. The presentation is simple and sprite-based in keeping with the era, with the interest coming from learning how aim, power and spin combine to shape the ball’s path down the lane.
