ClayFighter – SNES Game

ClayFighter is a one-on-one fighting game for the Super Nintendo in which every character and stage is created from clay models and then digitized into sprites. The cast includes Bad Mr. Frosty, Blue Suede Goo, Taffy, Helga, Tiny, Ickybod Clay and Bonker, each with their own stage and set of special moves. Play follows the conventions of the era: you face opponents in best-of-three round matches, using punches, kicks, blocks and directional special inputs, with the humor coming from exaggerated squashing, stretching and splattering animations. Character banter and comic sound effects run throughout, and stages are themed around a circus setting. A two-player versus mode lets you fight a friend, while the single-player ladder takes you through the roster one opponent at a time.
