Clu Clu Land – NES Game

Clu Clu Land is a single-screen maze game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. You control Bubbles, a fish who cannot turn on her own: she moves continuously and changes direction by grabbing the posts set into the grid and swinging around them, which gives the game its distinctive momentum-based controls. The goal on each stage is to pass over every hidden gold ingot to reveal a shape spelling out a picture on the playfield. Sea urchins called Uniras patrol the maze, and black holes in the floor will trap you, so routes have to be planned around them. Bubbles can fire a shock wave to briefly stun enemies and push them into hazards. A two-player alternating mode is included, and stages get tighter as you progress.
