Crystalis – Gameboy Color Game

Crystalis is a top-down action role-playing game set in a world rebuilding after a devastating war, where technology and magic exist side by side. You wake with no memory and set out across towns, forests, deserts and ruins, fighting enemies in real time with sword swings rather than turn-based menus. Progress comes from gathering four elemental swords, each with its own charged attack and its own uses against particular enemies and obstacles, along with magic spells, armour and items that open new routes. Enemies drop experience that raises your level and your sword power, and dungeons mix combat with switch and layout puzzles. This Game Boy Color version is a conversion of the earlier NES game, with reworked graphics, revised text and adjustments to some of the maps and progression.
