Dig Dug – Gameboy Game

Dig Dug on Game Boy is a handheld version of Namco’s arcade digging game. You control a digger who tunnels through layers of earth in a single-screen underground playfield, pursued by Pookas and fire-breathing Fygars. Your main weapon is a pump: connect with an enemy and keep pumping to inflate it until it bursts. You can also dig beneath rocks to loosen them and drop them onto enemies below, which is worth more points and can take out several at once. Clearing all the enemies advances you to the next stage, with the earth layout and enemy speed changing as you progress. The monochrome presentation keeps the simple, score-focused arcade structure intact for portable play.
