Dirty Harry – NES Game

Dirty Harry brings the San Francisco police inspector Harry Callahan to the NES as an action game. You move through city streets, alleys and buildings, punching and shooting the criminals who come at you while working toward the people behind a larger case. Harry starts with his revolver and can pick up additional firepower and ammunition along the way, so managing what you are carrying matters when tougher opponents appear. The layout mixes side-scrolling combat with areas you can enter and search, and talking to characters or finding items points you toward where to go next. Enemies attack from both sides and from windows and rooftops, and health is limited, so learning enemy placement in each area is a large part of progressing.
