Dr. Franken – Gameboy Game

Dr. Franken is a platform game for the Game Boy starring Franky, a Frankenstein-style monster. Your girlfriend has been taken apart, and you search an enormous castle for her scattered body parts, bringing them back so she can be reassembled. The castle is laid out as a large interconnected maze of rooms, corridors and lifts rather than a series of separate levels, so mapping the place and remembering which doors you have not yet opened is a large part of play. Franky can jump, fight off the ghosts, bats and other creatures roaming the halls, and collect items and keys that open up further sections. Energy drains as you take damage, and you look for pickups to keep it topped up while working out where to go next.
