Dr. Mario – Gameboy Game

Dr. Mario on the Game Boy is a falling-block puzzle game in which Mario, in a lab coat, drops two-coloured capsules into a bottle filled with viruses. You rotate and place the capsules so that four or more matching colours line up vertically or horizontally, which clears them; the goal of each stage is to wipe out every virus in the bottle. Leftover halves of cleared capsules fall and can trigger further chain reactions, which is the main way to clear a crowded bottle. You choose a starting virus level and a drop speed, and the bottle fills with more viruses as you advance. A two-player versus mode is playable over the link cable, where clearing multiple rows at once sends extra junk into the other player’s bottle.
