Ghosts ‘n Goblins – NES Game

Ghosts ‘n Goblins is Capcom’s side-scrolling action platformer, brought to the NES from the arcade. You play Arthur, a knight who sets out through graveyards, forests and caves to rescue Princess Prin Prin from the demon realm. Arthur throws lances and other weapons found along the way, and his armour absorbs a single hit: take damage and you are stripped to your underwear, with the next hit costing a life. Zombies rise out of the ground, flying enemies crowd the screen and stage bosses block the path forward. Jumps are committed once made, so positioning matters. The game is known for its difficulty, and reaching the true ending requires clearing the full game a second time.
