Godzilla – NES Game

An NES game in which you control Godzilla across a series of stages, with Mothra available as a second playable monster. Play alternates between a board-style map screen, where you move your monster across spaces toward a goal, and side-scrolling action stages where you fight through smaller creatures and terrain. When you meet an enemy monster, the game switches to a one-on-one fight viewed from the side, where you use punches, kicks, tail attacks, and Godzilla’s breath weapon against opponents drawn from the Toho kaiju films. Each planet’s set of stages ends with a monster battle, and clearing them moves you on to the next world. Energy is limited, so managing your monster’s condition between fights is part of the game.
