Gotcha is a light gun game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, played with the NES Zapper rather than a standard controller. It takes its theme from paintball: you aim at the screen and fire at opposing players who appear from cover across a series of outdoor arenas, hitting them before they can hit you. The objective involves pushing through enemy territory toward the opposing flag, with hostile players popping out from behind obstacles as you advance. Shots are limited by the need to keep firing accurately under time pressure, and missing gives opponents the chance to score against you. It is a short, score-driven shooting gallery built around reaction speed and aim, and it requires a working Zapper to play.
