Great Volleyball is a volleyball game for the Sega Master System, part of Sega’s early series of plainly named sports releases. Matches are viewed from behind and above one side of the court, so you look across the net at the opposing team. Play follows the rhythm of the sport: serve, receive, set and then spike or tip the ball over, with blocking at the net and digs in the back court. You control the active player while the rest of the team is handled automatically, and rallies are scored using standard volleyball rules. The game supports play against the computer or a second player, and the controls are kept to the Master System’s two buttons and direction pad.
