Gun.Smoke – NES Game

Gun.Smoke is a vertically scrolling shooter with a Wild West setting, released by Capcom for the NES following its arcade version. You play a bounty hunter on foot, walking upward through desert towns, canyons and rail yards while outlaws attack from the front and sides. Firing is directional: the controller inputs let you aim left, right or straight ahead, so positioning and facing matter as much as reflexes. Between stages you spend collected money at shops on items such as better guns, boots and horses that change how you move and shoot. Each area ends with a named outlaw boss whose wanted poster is shown beforehand. Play is single-player, and the game emphasises careful advancement over constant forward movement.
