Home Alone – Gameboy Game

Home Alone for the Game Boy is a tie-in to the film, casting you as Kevin McCallister left behind in the family house with burglars trying to get in. You move through the rooms and floors of the house, staying ahead of the intruders and using items and traps found along the way to slow them down. Contact with a burglar costs you, so the game is built around routes, timing and knowing where to run. The monochrome graphics use a side-on view of the house interior, with stairs and doors linking areas together. It is a short, arcade-style game aimed at handheld play, based on repeated attempts as you learn the layout and how the burglars move.
