King’s Knight – NES Game

King’s Knight is a vertically scrolling action game with light role-playing elements. You control one character at a time as the screen scrolls upward, shooting enemies, destroying obstacles and collecting power-ups that permanently raise attributes such as attack strength, jump height and speed. Each of the playable characters moves and fights differently, and each has its own stage to clear. The terrain is full of blocks and walls that can hide items or block your path, so shooting the scenery is often as important as shooting enemies. Characters that fall in battle are lost, which affects the final portion of the game, where the survivors join together for a last stage. Play is continuous with no branching maps, and progress depends on how well upgraded your party has become.
