Lone Ranger – NES Game

The Lone Ranger is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Entertainment System based on the masked western hero. Play shifts between several styles: you explore an overhead map of towns and open country, move through side-scrolling stages where you shoot and fight enemies, and enter first-person duels and interior scenes where you draw on opponents. Townspeople and buildings can be visited for information, supplies and items, giving the game a light adventure structure between action sequences. You ride your horse Silver on the overworld to travel between locations, and your health and ammunition carry between areas, so managing supplies matters. The mix of exploration, gunfights and conversation makes it slower paced than a straight run-and-gun platformer.
