Mario is Missing – SNES Game

Mario Is Missing on Super Nintendo is an educational adventure in which you control Luigi. Bowser’s henchmen have scattered stolen landmarks and artifacts across cities around the world, and Luigi must travel through doors to each location, stomp Koopas to recover the stolen items, and return them to the correct buildings and monuments. Talking to locals and consulting an in-game reference gives clues about which city you are in, which you then confirm on a globe. Play is side-scrolling exploration of city streets rather than traditional Mario platforming, with the emphasis on geography, landmarks and cultural facts. The SNES version features larger sprites and more detailed backdrops than other releases, and progress depends on answering the location questions correctly.
