Mask of Zorro – Gameboy Color Game

The Mask of Zorro on Game Boy Color adapts the Zorro film to Nintendo’s colour handheld. You take the role of the masked swordsman, moving through side-scrolling stages and dealing with soldiers and other enemies using Zorro’s sword and whip. Movement includes jumping and climbing as you work through the environments, with the whip useful for reaching and manipulating parts of the stage as well as for combat. The presentation leans on the film’s period setting, with Spanish colonial California locations and a masked-hero framing. As a handheld action title of its era, it uses password or save-based progression between areas and short, self-contained levels suited to portable play. Familiarity with the film is not required to follow the basic setup.
