Based on the Cartoon Network cartoon, this Game Boy Advance release puts you in control of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup as they deal with trouble in Townsville. Play is built around side-scrolling action stages where you run, fly and fight your way past enemies, with the girls’ super strength and flight used to reach areas and clear obstacles. The three sisters each handle broadly the same way, and the presentation leans on the show’s flat, bold art style and character designs. Cutscenes and dialogue set up the story between stages. It is aimed at younger players, with short levels and straightforward controls, though boss encounters against the show’s villains ask for a bit more pattern recognition. A licensed action platformer for fans of the series.
