Spiderman – Gameboy Color Game

A side-scrolling action game starring Spider-Man on the Game Boy Color. You move through stages set around the city and its interiors, using web lines to swing and climb, sticking to walls and ceilings, and firing webbing to trap or slow enemies. Combat mixes punches and kicks with web attacks, and web fluid is a limited resource you top up as you explore, so you have to decide when to swing and when to fight on foot. Levels are built around reaching an exit or objective while dealing with thugs and recognisable villains from the Spider-Man comics, with boss encounters punctuating the story. Presentation uses colour sprite work and comic-styled story panels between missions. Play is largely linear, with some vertical exploration and hidden routes in the larger stages.
