Tales of Phantasia – GBA Game

Tales of Phantasia brings the Super Famicom role-playing game to Game Boy Advance with an English translation. You follow Cress and his companions as a personal tragedy pulls them into a conflict that spans different eras, with time travel steering much of the story. Combat uses the series’ Linear Motion Battle System, which lays fights out on a 2D plane: you control one character directly, moving in and out of range, chaining attacks and unleashing special arts while your party handles the rest under AI behaviour you can adjust. Between battles you explore towns and dungeons, buy equipment, and cook recipes to restore the party. Skits and character conversations fill in the cast’s relationships. The presentation keeps sprite-based visuals, an overworld map, and voice clips during combat.
