The Humans – Gameboy Game

The Humans is a puzzle-platformer in which you guide a small tribe of cavemen through a series of side-scrolling stages. Each level gives you a group of tribe members and a goal, usually reaching an exit or recovering an item, and you switch between individuals to solve the layout. The humans on their own can only walk, jump and climb, so progress depends on cooperation: stacking bodies to form ladders, throwing and catching tools, and passing equipment such as spears and ropes down the line. Levels are built around trial and error, with hazards including pits, dinosaurs and hostile tribes. Losing too many tribe members means restarting, so planning who does what, and in what order, matters. The Game Boy version presents the puzzles in monochrome on a smaller screen.
