Toobin’ – Gameboy Color Game

Toobin’ is a handheld version of the Atari arcade game, adapted for Game Boy Color. You float downriver on an inner tube, steering left and right to weave between rocks, logs, riverbanks and other hazards while the current pushes you along. Paddling adjusts your speed, and you can throw cans at obstacles and at characters along the shore who try to knock you out of your tube. Passing between gates and collecting items along the way adds to your score, and each stretch of river ends at a finish point before the next course begins. The perspective is top-down and the pace is steady rather than frantic, with the challenge coming from tight navigation and avoiding punctures.
