Transbot – Sega Master System Game

Transbot is a horizontally scrolling shooter for the Sega Master System. You pilot a craft that can transform, flying across scrolling stages while enemy formations approach from ahead and structures fire from the edges of the screen. Your standard shot handles most threats, but the game’s distinguishing feature is its weapon system: a row of letters cycles at the top of the screen, and picking up power-ups lets you stop on a letter to receive the corresponding weapon type, which adds an element of chance to how you arm yourself. Levels end with larger enemy encounters that require you to learn firing patterns and find safe positions. Controls are limited to movement and firing, keeping the focus on dodging and shot placement.
