Triple Play 2001 – Gameboy Color Game

Triple Play 2001 brings EA Sports’ baseball series to Game Boy Color in a scaled-down handheld form. You pick a team and play out games from a side-on batting view, timing your swing against the pitcher and then switching to fielding when the half-inning turns over. Pitching lets you choose a pitch type and placement before delivery, and baserunning is handled with the directional pad and buttons. Beyond single exhibition games, the cartridge supports longer play through season-style options, with standings and statistics tracked as you go. The presentation is built around the limitations of the Game Boy Color hardware, using compact sprites and simplified stadium backdrops. It is a straightforward portable baseball sim for players who want full nine-inning games on the go.
