Yoshi – Gameboy Game

Yoshi is a falling-block puzzle game for the Game Boy. Mario stands at the bottom of four columns holding a pair of trays, and enemies such as Goombas and Boo drop from the top of the screen. You shift the trays left and right to sort what falls, clearing pieces by matching two identical enemies together. Egg shell halves are the key to bigger scores: catch a top and bottom shell with other pieces stacked between them and the stack hatches into a Yoshi, with larger sandwiches producing a bigger Yoshi and more points. Play speeds up as you progress, and stacks that reach the top end the round. Modes let you start at different difficulty settings and chase high scores.
