A top-down action-adventure for Game Boy Color, released alongside Oracle of Ages as a linked pair. Seasons places more emphasis on action and overworld exploration: Link obtains the Rod of Seasons, which shifts the land of Holodrum between spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each season changes the terrain, so snowdrifts, vines, water levels and plant growth open or block paths depending on which one is active. Dungeons and the world map are built around switching seasons at stumps scattered across the region. You collect the usual sword, shield, bombs and assorted tools as you progress. Finishing the game yields a password that can be entered in Oracle of Ages, connecting the two stories and unlocking additional content and a longer ending.
