Adventures of Bayou Billy – NES Game

An action game for the Nintendo Entertainment System that mixes several styles across its stages. Most levels are side-scrolling beat ’em up sections in which Billy walks through bayou, swamp and city environments punching, kicking and using weapons such as knives and guns against gangs of thugs, dogs and alligators. These are broken up by first-person shooting galleries, playable with the controller or a light gun, and by a driving stage where you fight off pursuing vehicles. The story sends you after a crime boss who has kidnapped a woman, with short scenes between stages. Practice options let you work on the shooting and driving segments separately from the main game. Combat is close-range and enemies attack from both sides.
