Airwolf – NES Game

Airwolf is an action game for the Nintendo Entertainment System based on the television series about a heavily armed high-tech helicopter. You pilot Airwolf through scrolling missions, using machine guns and missiles to destroy enemy aircraft, ground vehicles, gun emplacements and installations while avoiding incoming fire. Objectives centre on locating and rescuing captured personnel and returning them safely, which means flying into hostile territory, clearing the way and reaching the pickup points before your resources run out. Fuel and ammunition are limited, so the game becomes a balance between fighting and pushing forward. Control emphasises careful manoeuvring in tight spaces rather than fast arcade movement, and losing the helicopter sends you back to try the run again.
