Blues Brothers – NES Game

The Blues Brothers is a side-scrolling platformer for the Nintendo Entertainment System based on the characters Jake and Elwood. You pick one of the two brothers, both in their suits and sunglasses, and work through stages made up of ledges, ladders, moving platforms and hazards. Rather than jumping on enemies, you deal with obstacles by picking up and throwing crates, which can also be stacked or used to reach higher ground. Levels move through settings such as buildings, sewers and industrial areas, with collectibles like records scattered along the way and enemies including police officers and other pursuers. A two-player option lets both brothers take on the stages together, and the soundtrack draws on blues-styled music to match the license.
