Captain Planet and the Planeteers – NES Game

An action game based on the animated environmental series, in which Captain Planet and the Planeteers oppose villains responsible for pollution and destruction. Play is split between different styles of stage rather than a single format, mixing vehicle and flight sequences with more direct combat against enemies and end-of-stage bosses. The Planeteers and their elemental rings feature in the presentation, and the environmental themes of the cartoon carry through the settings you visit, from polluted landscapes to industrial hazards. It is a single-player game for the NES, with password or continue-based progression through the stages and sprite-based visuals modelled on the show’s characters.
