Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers – NES Game

Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers is a side-scrolling platformer for the NES based on the Disney cartoon. You play as Chip or Dale, both chipmunks who can run, climb and jump their way through household and industrial environments scaled to their tiny size. The central mechanic is lifting and throwing objects: crates, apples and other items can be picked up over your head and hurled at enemies or used to break through obstacles. Levels are short and varied, moving between houses, factories and outdoor areas, and boss encounters cap off stages. Two players can play together simultaneously, with each chipmunk able to pick up and throw the other, which allows for cooperation or mischief. The bright cartoon art and simple controls keep the game approachable.
