Darius Twin – SNES Game

Darius Twin is a horizontally scrolling shooter for the Super Nintendo, part of Taito’s Darius series. You fly a starfighter across space and planetary backdrops, shooting through enemy formations and ending each zone against a large boss built to resemble a mechanical sea creature. Zones are arranged as a branching map, so finishing one stage sends you to one of two following stages and no single run covers every area. Power-ups dropped by enemies upgrade your main shot, add missiles and build up a shield, with your weapon strength resetting if you lose a life. Two players can fly at the same time in co-op, sharing the screen and the incoming waves. Controls are straightforward eight-way movement with a single fire button held for continuous shooting.
