An action RPG for the Super Nintendo in which you play as Will, a boy caught up in a journey across a world modelled on real ancient sites and ruins. Combat happens in real time on the field map, using a short-range attack and movement rather than menus, and clearing all enemies in a room typically opens the way forward or yields an upgrade to your health or attack. Will can transform into other forms with different abilities, including a stronger sword-wielding warrior, letting you reach areas and defeat enemies that his ordinary attacks cannot handle. Between dungeons the story moves through towns and travelling sequences with a large supporting cast. Exploration involves finding hidden items scattered through the environments, and the pacing alternates between narrative chapters and self-contained dungeon areas.

Illusion of Gaia: questions
What does Illusion of Gaia play on?
It plays on any North American Super Nintendo, including the SNES Jr. It will not fit a Japanese Super Famicom without an adapter, and the SNES Classic Edition has no cartridge slot.
What’s included?
Game Only is the game by itself. Complete (CIB) adds the original box or case and the manual. Pick the one you want above; Game Only vs. Complete explains the difference.
How many players?
1 player.
How does it save?
It saves to memory inside the cartridge, kept alive by a small battery. These batteries last for decades but are now old; when one runs out the game still plays but cannot keep a save until the battery is replaced (more on save batteries).
Is it tested?
Yes. Every game is cleaned and tested before it ships and is backed by our 1-year warranty.
