Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – Gameboy Game

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on Game Boy adapts the television series into a side-scrolling action game for Nintendo’s handheld. You move through stages fighting off waves of foot soldiers with punches, kicks and jumping attacks, working toward a confrontation with a monster at the end of each level. The morphing conceit is built into the structure, so play shifts between the Rangers in and out of their suited forms as the levels progress. Controls are kept simple to suit the two-button layout: one attack, one jump, with a limited moveset rather than long combo strings. Presentation uses the handheld’s monochrome palette, with sprite versions of the Rangers and enemies drawn from the show. Stages are short and built around clearing enemies and reaching the boss.
