Star Trek

A Star Trek starship bridge simulator for the Sega 32X. Rather than putting you at a set of gun controls, it casts you as the commanding officer of a Federation vessel, issuing orders from the captain’s chair while your crew stations handle helm, weapons, shields and damage reports. Missions are presented as Starfleet Academy training scenarios and combat exercises, with briefings between engagements, and you manage energy, raise and lower shields, choose between phasers and photon torpedoes, and reposition your ship against Klingon, Romulan and other opposing craft. The pace is deliberate and tactical, closer to a simulation than an arcade shooter, and the 32X hardware handles the ship models and star field views. Suited to players who want to think about deflector power and firing arcs rather than reflex shooting.
