Base Wars puts baseball in the hands of robots. The basics stay familiar, with pitching, batting and fielding played from standard overhead and behind-the-plate views, but the players are machines built on different chassis types that vary in speed, throwing power and durability. The twist comes at the bases: when a fielder reaches a runner, play stops and the two units drop into a one-on-one duel, fought with weapons until one is disabled. Winning matches earns money that can be spent upgrading parts and repairing damaged robots between games, adding a light management layer over the season. Modes cover single exhibition games, league play and two-player matches. The tone is science fiction throughout, with team names and stadiums built around the robot premise rather than real baseball franchises.
