Dick Tracy – NES Game

Dick Tracy for the Nintendo Entertainment System casts you as the comic strip detective working criminal cases. The game mixes investigation with action: you take your car around a city map to visit locations, question suspects and witnesses, and gather evidence and warrants that let you move a case forward. Interrogation and searching are handled through menu-driven screens, while other sequences shift to side-view action in which Tracy uses his pistol against gunmen. Because progress depends on collecting the right information before making an arrest, note-taking helps, and cases are built around linking names and clues together. The presentation leans on the strip’s period setting of hats, coats and gangsters.
