Eliminator Boat Duel – NES Game

Eliminator Boat Duel is a racing game for the NES built around one-on-one speedboat contests. Races are viewed from the side as your boat and a single rival run a winding course, and you also get a behind-the-boat view during play. You steer around obstacles, take jumps and avoid collisions with hazards and the shoreline, since impacts cost you speed and can wreck the run. Prize money earned from winning goes toward upgrades such as engines and hulls, so progress involves building up a faster boat as opponents get tougher. Courses vary in layout and hazards, and the difficulty comes largely from learning how the boat handles at speed. A two-player option lets a second person take the rival boat.
