Fester’s Quest – NES Game

An action game for the NES based on The Addams Family, in which you control Uncle Fester as he fends off an alien invasion. Play is viewed from overhead as you move through city streets, buildings and sewer passages, shooting waves of enemies that swarm in from all sides. Fester starts with a basic gun and can find upgrades that change how his shots travel, including a wavering, whip-like stream that curls across the screen, along with secondary weapons and items that restore health. Power-ups are dropped by defeated enemies or handed out by characters you meet indoors, and losing a life can cost you weapon upgrades. Boss encounters block progress between areas, and there are no continues to fall back on once your lives run out.
