Final Fantasy – NES Game

Final Fantasy on the NES is a turn-based role-playing game in which you assemble a party of four Light Warriors, choosing each member’s class at the start from options such as Fighter, Thief, Black Mage and White Mage. Your chosen line-up shapes how the whole game plays, since classes differ in equipment, spell access and durability. From an overhead map you travel between towns, caves and castles, buying gear and spells and eventually gaining access to ships and airships that open up more of the world. Combat is menu-driven and viewed from the side, with magic bought as individual spells and cast a limited number of times per level. Progress centres on restoring the elemental crystals, with a mid-game event that upgrades your party’s classes and abilities.
