Heavy Shreddin’ – NES Game

A snowboarding game for the NES. You ride down mountain courses viewed from behind the board, steering between obstacles such as trees, rocks and other hazards while managing speed on the descent. Alongside straightforward downhill runs, the game includes event types that ask for slalom-style gate navigation and trick performance, where jumps and aerial moves are executed with button and direction combinations. Times and scores determine how well you place, and courses get tighter and busier as you move on. Controls are simple, with carving turns, tucking for speed and launching off ramps forming the core of play. The presentation is built around single-player runs against the clock rather than head-to-head racing, so success comes from learning each slope’s layout and timing your jumps and turns.
