Hook – Gameboy Game

Hook on Game Boy is a side-scrolling action game based on the film, in which you take the role of Peter as he travels through Neverland to face Captain Hook and his pirates. Play consists of moving left to right through stages, jumping across platforms and using a sword to deal with enemies that approach on the ground and from above. Items found along the way restore health or aid your progress, and bosses appear at the ends of sections. Because it runs on the original Game Boy hardware, the presentation is monochrome sprite work with a chiptune soundtrack, and the screen shows a compact view of each area. Controls are straightforward: a jump button, an attack button and directional movement, with pits and enemy placement providing most of the challenge.
