Isolated Warrior – NES Game

Isolated Warrior is an action shooter for the NES played from an isometric viewpoint. You control a lone fighter moving through enemy territory, running forward while shooting at troops, turrets and other hazards that come at you from several directions. The diagonal perspective is central to how it plays, since aiming and dodging both have to account for depth as well as left-and-right movement, and gaps and obstacles in the terrain have to be judged carefully. Weapon pickups appear along the way to change your firepower, and stages close with a larger boss encounter. Some sections shift the format, putting you in a vehicle for a stretch of shooting rather than travelling on foot. Damage is unforgiving, so progress relies on learning enemy placement stage by stage.
