Kung Fu Heroes – NES Game

Kung Fu Heroes is a single-screen action game for the NES. You control a martial artist working through a series of enclosed arenas, clearing each one of the enemies that stream in from the edges. Attacks are simple punches and kicks, but you can also jump on foes and strike blocks scattered around the playfield, which hide bonus items, power-ups and hidden passages. Clearing waves opens the way to boss encounters against larger enemies with set attack patterns. Two players can alternate turns. The presentation is bright and cartoonlike, with short stages and quick restarts, and much of the challenge comes from crowd control as the screen fills up and from learning which blocks are worth breaking on each layout.
